Deep Tech — The Next Frontier of Innovation
We are on the verge of a new inflection point: the deep tech era. Deep tech refers to companies using emerging technologies to develop groundbreaking products. Startups and spin-outs embody it at the forefront of science and technology. These companies are gaining traction: venture funding in European deep tech ventures quadrupled from 2016 to 2020, and now deep tech innovations are the fastest-growing funding segment. This year, Ukraine got a unique chance to join a European deep-tech network with the EUR 20 million support of the European Innovation Council.
We will talk about deep tech trends, Ukrainian deep tech scene, and new opportunities for Ukrainian startups.
